On Team Tobin since 1992
Jason Tobin is President and COO of Tobin and represents the third generation of the family to run the company. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, assuring that the right people and logistics are in place to maintain the Tobin tradition of delivering value to our customers and partners. Jason manages a full pipeline of opportunities for investors, including real estate ventures, property acquisition/disposition, and construction. He oversees the asset management and leasing of the entire Tobin portfolio, throughout the United States, having successfully negotiated tens of millions of square feet of leases. Jason “hangs out at about 30,000 feet,” a vantage point from which he can view the big picture as he creates and develops real estate strategies. He did, however, “make his bones” by deep diving into the most minute roles and details in the company.
For nearly thirty years, Jason has used his extensive experience in management, leasing and real estate brokerage operations to bring meaningful change to the value of many of Tobin’s investments as well as those of our partners and clients. He has helped guide Tobin in realizing opportunities in the retail, residential, office and medical property arenas. Relying on his years of experience and instincts, he adds value at every stage, from ground up development to project fruition because of his consistent intense focus.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Miami. He has also earned the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) from the CCIM Institute, the designations of Senior Certified Leasing Specialist (SCLS) and Certified Development Professional (CDP) from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He is also an active member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), as well as a past Trustee on the Board of Directors for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. He is a past Trustee on the Board of Directors of the Florida Film Board.
Jason is a Past Master of West Broward Masonic Lodge No. 253 in Pembroke Pines, Florida, and a Thirty Second Degree Mason (32º KCCH) Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in the Valley of Miami Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He is also an active member of the Mahi Shriners and the Royal Order of Jesters.
Jason served for over a decade on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Miami, was a Vice Chairman of that institution, and has had the pleasure of being the Big Brother to the same child for over 30 years. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Grand Opera. Jason was the Vice Chargé de Missions of the Confrérie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs – Bailliage de Greater Fort Lauderdale. He has been an instructor with Junior Achievement, inspiring middle school students to value free enterprise, business, finance, and economics. Jason actively supports Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Broward County. He is also an active member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Jason is happily married to his wife of 25 years, Holly, and cherishes every moment with their 4 children and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys playing blues guitar—a 40-year enthusiasm shared by his black standard poodle, Zeppelin.
